What Xendly Meet does

Xendly Meet is a free video meeting feature built into Xendly Mail by Xendly Corp Ltd. Any Xendly Mail address can host — including a free @xendly.email address.

  • No separate signup
  • No meeting minutes to buy
  • No add-on to enable

How a meeting runs

  1. The host starts it from the inbox

One meeting, one link to share. A meeting holds up to 5 people.

  2. Anyone with the link joins

From a browser on a laptop or a phone, or from the Xendly Mail app. Guests enter a name and email address at the join screen — no account, and nothing to download.

  3. The host admits them

Everyone waits in a lobby until the host lets them in.

Everything you need in the call

Video, audio, screen share and chat — and a host who stays in charge of the room.

One link, no account

Share a single meeting link. Guests join from the browser by entering a name and email — no Xendly account and nothing to install.

Up to 5 people

Meetings are capped at 5 participants, and a participant list shows you who is in the room. Video is peer-to-peer, so each extra person costs everyone upload bandwidth.

Browser and mobile

Camera and microphone controls in a desktop or phone browser, and in the Xendly Mail apps for iPhone and Android.

Screen sharing

Share a window, a tab or your whole screen from a computer. Screen sharing is not available from a phone.

Chat and raise hand

Send messages to everyone in the call, and raise a hand when you want the floor.

Host keeps control

A lobby holds arrivals until the host admits them. The host can remove people, ask someone to mute, end the meeting for everyone, or reset the link so old invitations stop working.

What it does not do (yet)

Worth knowing before you invite anyone.

  • No recording.Meetings are not recorded, and there is no way to record one from inside Xendly Meet.
  • No screen sharing from a phone.Screen sharing works from a computer only.
  • No more than 5 participants. The cap is enforced by the server, not just hidden in the interface.
  • No dial-in, captions or breakout rooms.Xendly Meet is video, audio, screen share and chat.

How the call travels

Audio and video go directly between the people in the call over WebRTC, which encrypts media in transit. Xendly's server carries only the signalling needed to set the call up — it never sees your video. When two participants' networks cannot reach each other directly, the call falls back to a relay, which forwards the already-encrypted stream without being able to read it. Meeting links are signed, expire, and stop working the moment a host ends the meeting or resets the link.
