Delete your data
Xendly Mail — operated by Xendly Corp Ltd
This page explains how to delete some or all of your data in Xendly Mail without deleting your whole account — so you keep your @xendly.email address and can carry on using it. It applies to the Xendly Mail app (Android and iOS) and the webmail at mail.xendly.email, operated by Xendly Corp Ltd. To delete your entire account instead, see Delete your account.
Delete data yourself, in the app
You can remove specific data at any time, without deleting your account. Each of these takes effect immediately:
- Emails: open a message (or select several) and tap Delete to move it to Trash, then open Trash and delete permanently to erase it.
- Contacts: open Contacts and delete any contact.
- Calendar events: open Calendar and delete any event.
- Blocked senders & app passwords: remove any of these in Settings.
Request deletion of a category of data
To have us delete a specific category of your data (for example, all of your stored contacts, or your calendar), email support@xendlylabs.com from your mailbox address, with the subject "Delete my data", and tell us what to delete. We verify ownership of the mailbox and complete the request within 30 days(usually much sooner). Your account and address stay active.
What is deleted, and what is kept
- Deleted: the specific messages, contacts, calendar events or settings you remove or ask us to remove, along with their contents and attachments.
- Kept: your account itself, your @xendly.email address, and any data you did not choose to delete, so you can keep using Xendly Mail.
Retention
Deleted data is removed from active systems immediately. Residual copies in routine encrypted backups are overwritten on their normal rotation, within 30 days. If you ever paid for a plan, transaction records (amounts, dates, references — not your Mobile Money PIN) are retained as required by tax and accounting law, typically up to 10 years; these are not linked to your mailbox contents.
